There is also some land based fishing when the boat gets stranded on the sand, walking over 4 km to catch the target fish species. After spending the morning hiking through some dense tropical jungle I find a secluded and remote river where the freshwater creek meets the estuary and the water is brackish. Setting up camp in the jungle, i head to the big river and the saltwater in search of fish and crabs for my survival. I catch cod, Mangrove Jack, Flathead and more. This river is full or Bull Sharks, Crocodiles and deadly Sea Snakes, so I have to very vigilant. I spend the night in my hootchie and mosquito net sleeping on my ultralight camp cot. I travel to a remote tropical creek with my mini mothership and inflatable 3.3m Big Duck dinghy. Where I drop the crab pots in the water to catch sand and mud crabs. I also sleep the night on the boat. The next day I fish with lures, despite the danger of being in a crocodile infested area. I am rewarded with a huge mangrove jack that I catch on a soft plastic lure. I head out on a 2 day overnight solo adventure exploring bays, tropical beaches and uninhabited islands. With crab pots and fishing rods I catch some awesome seafood. Cooking it up right on my boat and camping on the water. Delicious mud crab for dinner right on sunset for dinner is the order of the day.
